STEPS MUSICALS
SUMMER MUSICAL
Every summer STEPS produces professional quality stage musicals for students aged 8 through 18. Previous productions include School of Rock, The Music Man, Peter Pan, 42nd Street, Anything Goes, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Our shows give student performers the experience of a professional stage production in a welcoming, inclusive, and instructive environment. All shows feature excellent set design, lighting design, are fully costumed and are filled with some of Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin's most talented young artists.
Auditions for our highly regarded summer productions typically begin in April and are open to all in the community aged 8 through 18, regardless of experience. Rehearsals begins mid-June and performances are scheduled for the last week of July or first week of August.
WINTER COMPANY PRODUCTION
Every winter our students are given another audition opportunity with our annual Winter Company Production. This show highlights individually choreographed routines by our Performing Companies, linked together by a fully scripted, often original, holiday-themed story. Casting for the production is open to any student in the community, typically ages 8 to 18.
Actor auditions for our Winter Company Production typically occur early in October, and rehearsals begin immediately following casting. This show truly is a Holiday Spectacular!
